Senior Application Developer
Senior Application Developer for UNIVERSAL Technologies, LLC, to report to our Albany, NY HQ loc. but working at multiple unanticipated locations in USA. Detailed application (app) design, database (DB) design, coding unit/integration/performance testing. Dvlp integrate complex app modules using .NET 3.5/4.0/4.5, ASP .NET, .NET Core, C#, n-Tier architecture (arch), SOA, XML/JSON-based web services app dvlpmt tools. Impl web-based user interfaces in .NET using Razor/MVC4/MVVM arch patterns, AJAX, HTML5, CSS JavaScript. Perform/mng relational DB design, normalization, T-SQL/stored prcdrs w/ SQL Server 2014/2017. Build secure web apps w/ user auth role-based access ctrl. Generate rprts using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), Ad-hoc reporting, data migration/transformation using SSIS pckgs.
Configuration mgmt, continuous integration, version control, testing document mgmt using tools like Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Test Manager, Team System SharePoint Server. Impl web services using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). Technical quality of implemented code base understand implemented design. Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) prcsses in a structured env, incl Waterfall, RUP Agile dvlpmt methodologies. Participate in software testing prcss, incl identification resolution of defects. Take inputs from reporting managers apply feedback. Initiate, dvlp, maintain effective working relationships w/ team members. Create/update dsgn artifacts deliverables like use case diagrams, app arch, class/sequence diagrams high-lvl/detailed design documentation. Work w/ bus analysts, subject matter experts dvlpmt teams in design, dvlpmt, testing, impl, support of app projects. High-lvl app arch/design, network design, performance constraints security frameworks. Contribute to support roll-out strategies formal/informal techncl rvws presentations. Research, present /or make recs on tech issues. Explore new ideas initiatives. Estimate time req to complete dvlpmt tasks.
Wage range: $110,386 - $170,000 annually.
Must have Bachelors in IT, Tech or rel field and 4 yrsrel object-oriented design, dvlpmt, testing, and deployment exp. Also req the following skills: (4 yrs exp in) mission-critical bus apps in a web/client-server env; Microsoft.NET and SQL Server tech for web; web service and desktop app dvlpmt using C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, HTML 5, AJAX, WPF, WCF, MVC, jQuery, Entity Framework, LINQ, and Visual Studio; writing application software; data analysis; data access; data structures; data manipulation; databases; programming; testing and implementation; technical and user documentation; software conversions; design of program specifications and implementation of software solutions; T-SQL; and SQL Reporting Services.
